Education Track Description: One of the more recent developments in dry-cast, zero-slump concrete paver production is face mix technology. Unlike conventional thru-mix pavers—where the mix design and color are consistent throughout—face mix pavers incorporate a pigmented surface layer made with a finer aggregate blend over a structural base layer. This education track provides a practical, in-depth look at face mix pavers and is divided into two courses. The first focuses on raw materials and mix design, while the second covers manufacturing guidelines and best practices. Together, these courses provide a comprehensive foundation for successfully producing high-quality face mix pavers.
